Founded by the remarkable Margaret, who continues to inspire us with her unwavering spirit, this event celebrated not only the achievements of our teams but also the enduring camaraderie that has flourished over three decades.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

This milestone year has been particularly special as teams have united in their efforts to raise funds for the Wigan & Leigh Hospice. It is a testament to the compassion and generosity of our members that we have collectively raised an impressive £6,000 this year. This contribution not only reflects our commitment to the community but also showcases the importance of social responsibility within our league.

Crowning Achievements

At this year’s presentation, we also took a moment to acknowledge the triumphs on the bowling green. The Atherton and Tyldesley Botanical Gardens team showcased their exceptional skills, bringing home the prestigious knockout trophy. Their dedication and teamwork exemplify what it means to be a part of the Bowling Green Ladies League, setting a high standard for sportsmanship and excellence.
